FAQs

Have A Question For Team K9 Training?

Our FAQs For All The Answers To Your Queries.

Do I need to pay for dog training sessions upfront?

Upfront payment is required for all training sessions. Group bookings are essential for classes due to our small class sizes. Please contact us in regards to booking other training sessions.

What if I can’t make a session?

Our group classes are non-refundable and cannot be rearranged due to the set schedule; notes will be provided if you’re unable to attend a class.

Other training sessions may be rescheduled in the event of an emergency.

What if I see no changes in behaviour at the end of a training session/course?

Dog training is a long-term strategy, not a quick fix; it requires consistent work, as well as patience. Team K9 will work hard to correct your dog’s behavior as much as possible, as well as give you practical techniques to use once the training has been completed.

Are group training on when the weather is bad?

Our group classes are held no matter the weather. If you’re unable to attend a class, notes will be provided if you’re unable to attend a class.

Other training sessions may be rescheduled in the event of bad weather.

What if my puppy is aggressive/hasn’t been socialised?

This is what Team K9 is here for! We will teach you practical techniques you need to handle behavioral issues and socialise your puppy.

What if my dog is injured at a session because of another dog?

During the group classes, all dogs will be under tight supervision to ensure no incidents occur.

During other training sessions, all puppies are kept separated to prevent any incidents. You will be taught the correct way to socialise your puppy.

Can you specifically tailor a training course to my dog’s needs?

Yes! Our private sessions allow us to create a training plan that’s specifically tailored to your dog.

Contact us here to discuss your specific needs.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated to attend your group training courses?

Yes, to ensure a healthy and safe environment, all dogs that attend the group class must be vaccinated. Proof of first vaccination is required for Puppy School and proof of a C5 vaccination is required for our Bootcamps.

Will you teach me techniques I can use after the dog training sessions have finished?

Yes, during the training sessions, we’ll teach you practical techniques that you can continue using after you have completed the course. You can use these techniques on an ongoing basis to ensure that the learnt behavior from the class is maintained throughout your dog’s life.

Can I bring my children or family to attend the group dog training?

Yes, we welcome all family members to attend as they will be a part of the dog’s life; dog training requires consistency. If there’s more than one handler for the dog, we will teach you how to train your dog so that it’ll be an easier learning environment for the dog, not a confusing one.

Children must be under supervision by their guardian at all times.
